Kawthoung, Myeik borders see US$4.352 mln worth of trade with Thailand in three days


KAWTHOUNG and Myeik border trade posts conducted trade worth US$4.352 million with Thailand in the first three days of September, according to the statistics from the Ministry of Commerce.

The Kawthoung border had US$2.747 million in exports and $0.708 million in imports, resulting in a total trade volume of $3.455 million from 30 August to 3 September.

The Kawthoung border is also an export-advantaged post, primarily exporting fishery products to Thailand through the FOB system.

Similarly, the Myeik trade post recorded exports worth $0.013 million to Prachuap Khiri Khan province, Thailand, through the Mawtaung trade post by obtaining a certificate of country of origin for Customs relief (Form D) in the first three days of September. It is reported that diesel oil worth $0.884 million was imported.
