CHAIRMAN of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing received Indian Ambassador to Myanmar Mr Saurabh Kumar, who had completed his tour of duty, at the parlour of the Office of the Chairman of the State Administration Council in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday afternoon.
At the meeting, the Senior General
expressed his condolences to late General Bipin Rawat, the Chief of Defence
Staff of the Indian Armed Forces, who lost his life in the recent helicopter crash
in India. They exchanged views on friendly ties and cooperation measures
between Myanmar and India, the assistance of India to Myanmar for prevention of
COVID-19, cooperation in bilateral trade and economic affairs, cooperation in
other areas, including agriculture and livestock tasks, and cooperation in
friendly relations, security and defence sectors between two armed forces of
both countries.
Also present at the meeting were
Joint Secretary Lt-Gen Ye Win Oo of the State Administration Council and Union
Minister for Foreign Affairs U Wunna Maung Lwin.
