KACHIN State Highways Department under the Ministry of Construction upgraded the earthern road into AC road for 56 routes with 2,080 miles and five furlongs in length to improve the transport system of the state.
The
upgrade work included 47 miles and four furlongs long Momauk-Kyaunk
Sakhan-Seinlon- Lwejel route conducted by Hongshin Kyanba BOT Company under the
assignment of the department.
After
the project is complete, the trade flows between Jiangpong town of Longchun
District of China and Bhamo Township of Kachin State will be faster than
before.
The
government also invited E.O.I to upgrade 53 miles and three furlongs long
Moegaung (Parhote)-Kamine-Phakant route section and now is selecting the
applicants to conduct under a B.O.T system.
Moreover,
the department conducted upgrade works on 218 miles long Myitkyina-Sumprabum-
Putao earthern road into concrete road starting from the financial year
2016-2017 and now it completes up to 106 miles and four furlongs long in the
2020- 2021FY. Therefore, it becomes more assessable to Putao from Myitkyina.
The 116 miles long Myitkyina-Bhamo section of Mandalay-Lashio-Bhamo-Myitkyina
road section was also upgraded into AC road up to 62 miles and seven furlongs
between the 2017-2018FY and the 2020-2021FY. After completion, the road section
from Bhamo to Lajayang will become AC road.
