UNION Minister for Health Dr Thet Khaing Win and Chairman of Danu Self-Administered Zone Administration Body U Akar Lin visited Pindaya People’s Hospital in Shan State yesterday morning.
The
Union Minister inspected emergency and outpatient department, operation
theater, X-ray room and medical wards.
The
head of Township Public Health Department and officials reported on providing
medical treatment to the patients at the hospital and medical check-up
services.
After
that, the Union Minister encouraged the patients being treated at the hospital
and inspected progress of the new two-storey building of the hospital.
During
his visit, the Union Minister said that the Ministry will provide adequate
coverage of the COVID-19 RDT Test Kit and vaccines to those who come into
contact with COVID-19 virus-infected patients and COVID-19 suspect patients.
The
Union Minister expressed heartfelt thanks to the health personnel for their
hard work in providing health care services and gave certificates of honour to
them.
The
Pindaya Township People’s Hospital is a 50-bed facility. Two doctors, 10
nurses, and 11 midwifery and health supervisors from the Department of Public
Health are currently serving in the hospital.
A
total of 73 patients including 32 COVID-19 patients and 41 inpatients for other
diseases are receiving treatment at the hospital.
