THE security forces arrested Myo Pa Pa, who provided the cash, uniforms, rations and medicines to the PDF members in Kayah State, at Star City housing in Thanlyin Township of Yangon on 12 August.
According to her confession, she
received K22,369,850 —K15,727,500 in July and K6,642,350 in August from
Together Myanmar organization of Myanmar people living in Singapore in her KBZ
pay account through Nyein Chan Thu from Singapore and K500,000 from U Myint
Aung from Dagon Township to support the PDFs.
She then used the cash assistance
to buy the weapons, uniforms, rations and medicines for 20 times for Loikaw
PDF, Dimawhso PDF and KNDF (Karenni Nationalities Defence Force) of Kayah
State. The other two suspects Lin Lin Khaing (aka) Htwe Khaing and Ye Naing
Htwe(aka) Ko Ye (who completed the PDF training course) who transported the
materials to the PDFs in Kayah State were arrested in Shan Pine Ward of Loikaw
Township on 15 August. These two suspects used the cash assistance provided by
Myo Pa Pa to by equipment and medicines for PDFs in Dimawhso Township.
According to the confessions of
these two suspects and report of a dutiful citizen, the police arrested the 10
Dimawhso PDF members –Mahn Di Zin (aka) Nga Man, Naing Tun Lin (aka) Seik
Kalar, Myo Zaw Hein (aka) Myo Gyi, Han Pyae Nyi (aka) Ngar Kalay, Kyaw Min Htet
(aka) Byatta, Kyaw Zin Oo (aka) Arnoe, Phyo Bo Bo (aka) Phyu Phway, Paw Lu
(aka) Bin Bin, Kaung Htet Aung (aka) Kaung Htet and Sein Than Htay (aka) Than
Chaung who wore the uniforms of Karenni Nationalities People’s Liberation Front
in transporting the firearms from Pasawng to Dimawhso together with the guns
and bullets at Bawlake inspection point on 18 August.
These 10 suspects said that they
participated in attacks in Dimawhso during May and June. The absconders Khun Bi
Htoo (aka) Lwee Zi Nyein and Chit Tun of unlawful asso-ciation NUG gave
instructions to the PDFs to launch attacks in Kayah State. Moreover, Dimawhso
PDF members Naing Win, Phone Zaw Paing and Tun Lwin Oo collected cash
contributions from local and foreign countries. Other members Aung Soe Oo (aka)
Thar Thar and Aung Myint Myat (aka) Aung Myat purchased the firearms with this
cash assistance.
Moreover, those 10 PDF members
participated in attacks on the Dimawhso police station and security members
near Kyauk Sal Kan of Dimawhso Township in May and also near Church in Daw Ngan
Khar Ward in June.
Therefore, the security troops
arrested 13 suspects including PDF members and supporters and will take action
against them.
