A delegation led by Governor of the Central Bank of Myanmar U Kyaw
Kyaw Maung attended the 55th Southeast Asian Central Bank (SEACEN)
Governors’ Conference/High Level Seminar and the 39th SEACEN Board of
Governors’ Meeting from 13 to 14 November in Singapore.
The Governor first attended a seminar on the effects of financial
technology on monetary stability at Singapore EXPO Convention and
Exhibition Centre on 13 November. Keynote speeches were delivered there
by Queen Maxima Zorreguieta Cerruti of The Netherlands, Managing
Director Mr Ravi Menon of the Monetary Authority of Singapore, and
General Manage r Mr Agustin Carstens of the Bank for International
Settlements.
On 14 November, the CBM Governor attended the 55th SEACEN Governors’ Conference/High Level Seminar at JW Marriott Hotel where they discussed on data-driven economy and AI-driven economy. Later in the afternoon, they attended the 39th SEACEN Board of Governors’ Meeting.
There, Dr Indrajit Coomaraswamy handed over the role of Chair of the SEACEN Board of Governors to Mr Ravi Menon. Governor U Kyaw Kyaw Maung and delegation returned to Myanmar on 15 November.
