THE Yangon Weekend Book Street
resumed with over 70 book shops and stalls on Thein Phyu Road yesterday.
“There are 77 book shops and
stalls list. Literacy talks and literacy quiz programmes are being organized
Sundays,” said the Book Street Committee secretary U Aung Kyaw Moe.
The literacy quiz programme
organized by Popular Journal will also be conducted in the afternoon of Sunday
for book lovers. Winning participants in the quiz will be awarded books.
The Yangon Weekend Book Street
organized by the Ministry of Information and Yangon City Development Committee
(YCDC) has begun in 2017, and will continue till December-end.
