Senior General inspects construction status of Thatta Thattaha Maha Bohdi Pagoda



In the morning of 18 October, Tatmadaw Commander-in-Chief Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, wife Daw Kyu Kyu Hla and party paid homage to the Thatta Thattaha Maha Bohdi Pagoda under construction in the Buddha Garden compound near Pan Kwe Village, 15 miles southeast of Kengtung in Shan State (East).


First, the Senior General and party inspected the sculpting of Buddha images in the Buddha Garden compound and the view point and also inspected the construction of the Thatta Thattaha Maha Bohdi Pagoda and the planted flowers.

They then paid homage to the Abaya Raza Muni Buddha image and offered flowers and water. The 108 ft. high Thatta Thattaha Maha Bohdi Pagoda is built exactly like the Maha Bohdi Pagoda in Gaya, India and is being constructed with donations made by Tatmadaw (Army, Navy, Air Force) families and donors.

Yesterday morning the Tatmadaw Commander-in-Chief and party released fishes into the Kyaing Phaung Creek in Kengtung Towns as good deed according to news released by Office of the Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services.
