TO
MEET its target of providing all villages access to electricity by December,
2020, the Yangon Region Government will spend K 32.585 billion in the 2018-2019
fiscal year, K 45.469 billion in the 2019-2020 fiscal year, and K 31.5 billion
in the 2020-2021 fiscal year on building power supply infrastructure.
The
Yangon Region Power Supply Corporation announced at a press conference
yesterday that it will install seven 33/11 KV sub-power stations, 210
transformers, 57.110 miles of long cable, 250.970 miles of long 11 KV line, and
247.130 miles of long 400 KV line in the 2018-2019 fiscal year.
In
the 2020-2021 fiscal year, 11 more sub-power stations, 403 transformers, and
cable lines will be installed, said U Maung Maung Latt, the chairman of the
corporation.
The
Yangon Region Power Supply Corporation said it has built nine sub-power
stations with 410 MVA installed capacity, five sub-power stations with 180 MVA
installed capacity, 14 sub-power stations with 85 MVA installed capacity so far
over the past three years to meet its target, said U Khin Maung Latt.
The
corporation disclosed its plans to the media at the press conference at its
office in Ahlon Township yesterday.
