Donation for flood victims given to SWRR Ministry

IN cash and in-kind contributions are being given to flood victims through Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement.

Madaya Philanthropist Association and Hluttaw Representatives, people of Madaya Township, Mandalay Region, handed over K 1 million in cash and K 4,633,000 worth of food and other supplies to Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement for the victims yesterday. Union Minister Dr Win Myat Aye presented them certificate of appreciation.

Then, he thanked the donors for the donation and said that this donation showed the unity between the different regions. He continued to say that the donation will go directly a fund raised by Nation Disaster Management Committee and that it will be used effectively in fulfilling victims’ need and rehabilitation.
