A TWO-DAY ‘Japan-Myanmar Resource, Trade and Investment Expo
2019’, aimed at promoting bilateral investments and attracting businesses
opportunities, will take place on 19 and 20 October at the Yangon Convention
Center.
According to its organizers, the expo will significantly
improve interaction and collaboration among the sponsors, exhibitors, and
visitors, and will offer several opportunities for networking, creating new
business partnerships, discovering new industry trends, and talent acquisition.
The expo is being organized by Synergy Focus International
(SFI), with the support of the Embassy of Japan in Myanmar and the Japan
External Trade Organisation (JETRO). It will showcase investment, culture,
education, technology, and job opportunities in Myanmar.
The expo will feature over 150 exhibitors and is expected to
attract more than 10,000 visitors. At the expo, young Myanmar people will be
able to experience Japanese culture, the work environment in Myanmar, and
explore job opportunities with different companies.
“This expo will help explore business prospects and invite
Japanese investors to Myanmar. Visitors will surely get to know Japanese
culture and business as well,” said U Lin Kyaw Tun, the CEO of SFI.
“Japan and Myanmar have enjoyed over 60 years of diplomatic
relations. This kind of expo will strengthen ties between the two countries and
develop friendships among their citizens,” said Dr. Nu Nu Yin, senior
consult-ant for the Japan-Myanmar Resource, Trade and Investment Expo 2019.
“I hope this expo will bring the business counterparts of the
two countries together,” said Mr. Shinsuke Goto, the chief executive officer of
organizing partner Trust Venture Partners Co. Ltd.
High ranking officials and private businessmen will exchange
ideas at the expo. Besides seminars, business matching and inspection tours to
Thilawa SEZ have been included in the program for the expo.
Companies engaged in insurance, banking, tourism,
auto-mobile, manufacturing, legal and consulting services, education and
training, retail, recruitment, and employment, IT and communication,
agriculture, and media are expected to participate in the expo.
