MEETING on financial collaboration between Central Banks of
Myanmar and Thailand was held at Central Bank of Myanmar in Nay Pyi Taw
yesterday morning.
Present at the event were Governor of Central Bank of
Myanmar, U Kyaw Kyaw Maung, officials, Governor of Bank of Thailand Mr
Veerathai Santiprabhob and Thai delegation.
During the meeting, they discussed financial collaboration
which would assist the development of trade and investment, adopting a
framework for comprehensive use of Myanmar kyat and Thai bhat in border trade,
creativity concerning financial matters, signing MoUs on payment system between
the two central banks and challenges in implementing them.
