THE Embassy of Sweden held a celebration to commemorate the
National Day of Sweden in Nay Pyi Taw at 7 pm yesterday.
The celebration at the Park Royal Hotel was attended by Chairman
of the Union Election Commission U Hla Thein, Union Ministers Dr. Pe Myint, Dr.
Myo Thein Gyi and Dr. Myint Htwe and Deputy Ministers U Aung Hla Tun and U Tin
Myint, Hluttaw representatives, departmental heads and invited guests. The
event began with the national anthems of Myanmar and Sweden.
Afterwards, Ambassador of Sweden Mr. Staffan Herrstrom and Union
Minister for Health and Sports Dr. Myint Htwe extended greetings. After the
speeches, the guests enjoyed the dinner.
