Documentary filmed on collection of WW-II era Japanese soldiers’ remains



A TEAM from the NHK public broadcasting service of Japan has made a documentary feature about a Japanese man collecting remains of the World WarIIera Japanese soldiers in upper Myanmar.

The team shot a scene for the film about Mr. Imoto who has searching and collecting the remains of Japanese soldiers since seven years ago.
Yesterday, NHK team shot the scene in which a 89-year old local man showed Mr. Imoto the site where Japanese troops camped and went into the battle fields between the Japanese and British troops. The three-member crew is making the feature from 4 to 18 June in Yangon Region, Kachin State, Sagaing Region and Mon State.
The feature film is a program on Kyushu Island channel.
