THE Second Pyidaungsu Hluttaw 12th regular session’s
third day meeting was held yesterday in Pyidaungsu Hluttaw meeting hall where
the meeting starts as in the third day meeting with Hluttaw representatives
discussing another loan from JICA (Japan International Cooperation Agency). The
loan amount discussed totals Yen 38.642 billion.
The loan was discussed by U Khin Cho of Hlaingbwe
constituency, Daw Cin Ngail May of Chin State constituency 7, U Tun Mya Aung @
U Saw Tun Mya Aung of Papun constituency, Daw Cho Cho of Ottwin constituency,
Dr. Tin Tin Win of Bago Region constituency 5, U Nyan Hein of Thanbyuzayat
constituency, Naw Chris Tun @ Dr. Arr Kar Moe of Kayin State constituency 7, U
Saw Victor Clyde of Thandaunggyi constituency, U Sein Boh of Myawady
constituency, U Win Htut of Pyapon constituency, U Soe Thein of Kayah State
constituency 9 and U Win Myint Aung of Dabayin constituency discussed the loan.
Pyidaungsu Hluttaw Speaker announced that the remaining
program on this matter were scheduled to be held on Pyidaungsu Hluttaw meeting
of 9 May 2019.
Ministries’ explanation on usage of K 9,095.262 million
emergency fund
The next agenda of the meeting was explanation by
ministries on usage of emergency fund K 9,095.262 million from fiscal year
2018-2019 Union Budget sent by the President. Deputy Ministers for Defence;
Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation; and Home Affairs provided the
explanations.
Pyidaungsu Hluttaw Speaker then announced the Hluttaw
putting on record the Ministry of Defence; Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock
and Irrigation and Ministry of Home Affairs usage of emergency fund and
announced further that Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ usage of emergency fund
will be conducted.
Hluttaw explained on joining IPBES
Next Deputy Minister for Natural Resources and
Environmental Conservation Dr. Ye Myint Swe explained to the Hluttaw about
joining Intergovernmental Science-Policy Platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystem
Services (IPBES).
Pyidaungsu Hluttaw Speaker announced for Hluttaw
representatives who want to discuss the matter to register their names.
Hluttaw explained on acceding to Protocol of 1988
Afterwards Deputy Minister for Transport and
Communications U Kyaw Myo explained to the Hluttaw on Myanmar acceding to
Protocol of 1988 relating to the International Convention for the Safety of the
Life at Sea 1974 sent by the President.
Pyidaungsu Hluttaw Speaker announced for Hluttaw
representatives who want to discuss the matter to register their names.
Hluttaw approves Gambling Bill and Major Bridge Bill
Later the Hluttaw approved by paragraph the Gambling Bill
returned with comments by the President and the Major Bridge Bill in which the
two Hluttaws were in disagreement.
Suggestion on duty and tax exemption for import of Red
Cross vehicles
As a final agenda of the day Tatmadaw Pyithu Hluttaw
Representative Maj. Thurein Zaw provided suggestions on considering the Custom
duty and commercial tax exemption for import of five Red Cross vehicles.
Pyidaungsu Hluttaw Speaker announced that the matter was
considered to be handled in the Pyidaungsu Hluttaw meeting of 9 May 2019.
