UNION Attorney-General
U Tun Tun Oo received Ms. Jennifer Smith, Executive Director of the
International Legal Foundation (ILF), and delegation yesterday at his office in
Nay Pyi Taw.
During the meeting,
they discussed matters related to assistance by ILF and participation of the
Union Attorney-General’s Office in the work in achieving Myanmar’s adopting a
legal aid system and legal aid assistance during case investigations and in
carrying out the filing of lawsuit processes.
They also discussed
matters related to bringing justice to all people, legal aid related
cooperation among the government’s departmental organizations, trainings to be
conducted and international practices to be studied.
Deputy Attorney-General
U Win Myint and Director-General Dr. Thida Oo were also present at the meeting.
