MYANMAR hosted the 8th Bilateral Meeting between MPF-RTP
(Myanmar Police Force-Royal Thai Police) on Combating Trafficking in Persons at
M Gallery Hotel in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday.
The meeting was attended by 19 representatives of MPF led by
Police Brig-Gen Myint Htoo from the Anti-Human Trafficking Task Force, 13
representatives of RTP, and 7 representatives from Thailand’s Department of
Special Investigation -DSI.
The meeting was opened with separate speeches from the two
sides’ leaders, after which they discussed the progress of implementing the
decisions from the 7th meeting, and sharing information on transnational human
trafficking between the Myanmar and Thailand. The 19th Bilateral Meeting
between MPF -DSI will be held today, according to the Myanmar Police Force.
