Attendees
of the Union Peace Conference-21st Century Panglong Third Session, visited the
Jade Museum, National Museum and Defence Services Museum in Nay Pyi Taw
yesterday.
During
their visit to the Jade Museum, they observed precious jades, gems, pearls,
silver wares and other natural resources on the uppermost floor of the museum,
and officials explained the artifacts to them.
Later,
they went on to the National Museum and observed the booths on fossils, arts
and crafts, Myanmar culture, Myanma history, ethnic culture, Buddha statue,
Myanma Martyrs and ASEAN and took photographs.
Next,
the representatives visited the Defence Services Museum and observed former
military gears and instruments, utensils of the nationalists during the
colonial period, utensils of Bogyoke Aung San, historical treaties during the
independence struggle, local peace performance of successive governments,
Tatmadaw military booths (Army, Navy and Air), foreign military vehicles and
military aircrafts.
Over
200 of the meeting’s attendees participated in the visits.
