Health care and food provided for people in Kayin State flood relief camps


Township-wise flood relief camps were opened in Kayin State for people affected by flooding and inundation following continuous heavy rain. People in the camps were provided with health care and food assistance, according to the state government.

Eight camps opened in Hpa-an were occupied by 818 households. Meanwhile, 12 camps in Hlaingbwe Township were occupied by 321 households, two camps in Kawkareik Township by 65 households, two camps in Kya-in-Seikkyi Township by 122 households and nine camps in Myawady Township by 448 households.
