A
group of deputy ministers for Recommendations of the Advisory Commission on
Rakhine State arrived in Maungtaw yesterday morning. The group was led by the
Implementing Committee Secretary and Deputy Minister for Border Affairs Maj-Gen
Than Htut, the Joint-Secretary and Deputy Minister for Social Welfare, Relief
and Resettlement U Soe Aung and Deputy Minister for Construction U Kyaw Lwin.
The
group went to Kyein Chaung Taung in Maungtaw and in spected work on
construction of housing projects, where they asked the progress of the
construction project to be completed at a specific time. Then they continued to
inspect the plots of land where 60 housing projects donated by Japan in
Maungtaw would be built. After inspecting the Nga Khu Ya Reception Centre, they
proceeded to the construction of Longdon-Nga Khu Ya repairing road being
repaired, and met with the office staff where they coordinated to fulfill their
requirements. They went to the Hla Phoe Khaung Transit Centre and inspected the
construction of housing projects, Modular Houses donated by China and opening
of the camp medical clinic. They inspected the Hla Phoe Khaung-Shwe Zar road
and processed to the Myoma Monastery in Maungtaw, where they donated 120 bags
of rice, 600 viss of pea, 150 viss of cooking oil and 30 viss of salt to the
students at the monastery.
