An
Asia Buddhist group consisting of 11 Asian countries conducted a meeting in Maha
Chulalongkorn University in Thailand on 11 May it is learnt.
At
the event sayadaws from the university, Myanmar State Pariyati Sasana
University Rector Sayadaw Agga Maha Pandita honorary dhamma professor Dr.
Bhaddanta Kumara, Yangon Region Sangha Nayaka Chairman Sayadaw Dr. Bhaddanta
Eida Bala, Kyaikhtisaung Sayadaw Agga Maha Saddhamma Jotika Daja Dr. Bhaddanta
Nagadipa, Mawtinsoon Sayadaw, Myanmar Theravada Buddhist Federation and Border
Areas and Hill Region Sasana Nuggaha Association Chairman attended and
participated in the discussion.
Next,
at a ceremony held at Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya University, Ayutthaya, on
13 May, Yangon Region Sangha Nayaka Chairman Sayadaw Dr. Bhaddanta Eida Bala
was presented with an Honorary Doctorate Degree in Administration by Maha
Chulalongkorn University, Thailand.
Present
at the ceremony were Kyaikhtisaung Sayadaw Agga Maha Saddhamma Jotika Daja Dr.
Bhaddanta Nagadipa, Mawtinsoon Sayadaw, Myanmar Theravada Buddhist Federation
and Border Areas and Hill Region Sasana Nuggaha Association (Central) Chairman
Wunna Kyaw Htin Dr. Khin Shwe.
