Norwegian Ambassador, Union AttorneyGeneral discuss scholarship opportunities




Union Attorney-General U Tun Tun Oo received Norwegian Ambassador to Myanmar Ms. Tone Tinnes and her entourage in the guest hall of his office in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday evening. The two sides discussed scholarship opportunities between the Office of the Union Attorney-General and Norway, as well as sending legal officers to attend a Master’s in Human Rights Law.


They also discussed aid from the Union Attorney General’s office in the Myanmar-Norway collaboration in the oil and energy sector, fishery sector, democratisation process, and establishing the rule of law and a federal system.

The two sides also discussed peace and development efforts in Rakhine State, which concerns itself with the Myanmar peace process.

Present at the meeting were the Union Attorney-General, Deputy Attorney General U Win Myint, Permanent Secretary Daw Nu Nu Yin, and Director-General U Min Swe.
