The
11th short story, article writing, poem composition, impromptu speech and poem
reading competition in the Myanmar language and English to mark the
International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking that falls on 26
June 2018 will be organised by the Myanmar Anti Narcotic drug Association
(MANA) at Kyaukse Dhammaryone on Shwegonedine Road in Bahan Township, Yangon
Region, from 19 to 22 June.
The
impromptu speech competition in the Myanmar language and English for the Basic
Education High School and Middle School level will be held from 9 am to 12 noon
on 19 June for contestants from West-District Yangon Region; from 12 noon to 4
pm for contestants from Yangon Region North-District; on 20 June, from 9 am to
12 noon for contestants of Yangon Region East-District; and from 12 noon to 4
pm for contestants from South-DistrictYangon Region.
The
poem reading competition in the Myanmar language and English for the Basic
Education Primary School level will be held from 9 am to 12 noon on 21 June for
contestants of Yangon Region West-District; from 12 noon to 4 pm for
contestants from Yangon Region North-District; on 22 June, from 9 am to 12 noon
for contestants of Yangon Region East-District; and from 12 noon to 4 pm for
contestants from South-District Yangon Region.
Students
from private schools may participate in the competitions.
Manuscripts
for the short story, article writing and poem composition (open level)
competitions can be sent to the office of MANA at Kyun Taw Street in Kamayut
Township, Yangon, no later than 7 June.
The
final competition for the impromptu speech and the poem reading, as well as the
prize presentation ceremony will be held from 9 am on 24 June.
