Deputy
Minister for Information U Aung Hla Tun received the World Health Organisation
(WHO) Framework Convention on Tobacco Control (FCTC) Need Assessment Mission at
the guest hall of the Ministry of Information yesterday.
At
the meeting, they discussed increasing the momentum of implementing the
reduction in consumption of cigarettes and tobacco products under the FCTC’s
2030: Strategy Myanmar, programmes that the Ministry of Information can conduct
to inform the public of the adverse effects of cigarettes and tobacco products
on the society, economy and health, and establishing good practices and habits.
