Aid provided to returning ethnic nationals in Meise Town

Myanmar nationals who returned from Thailand voluntarily were welcomed in Meise Town (Kayah State) yesterday.

At the ceremony, a Pyithu Hluttaw representative and relevant departments provided cash and other assistance after the (Kayah) State Minister for Security and Border Affairs Col. Myint Wai delivered a speech.

Of the 20 ethnic nationals who were already assessed with regard to their nationality, four were from Meise Township, eight from Dimawhso Township and eight from Loikaw Township. They were provided with rice, cooking oil, drinking water from the Kayah State government, from the Progress of Border Areas and National Races Department, construction materials for houses, and travelling cost assistance from the Disaster Management Department.
