94 homes lost in village fire





Ninety-Four homes were lost in a village fire in Rakhine State on 12 May.


The fire spread to other houses when a man burnt down the bamboo wall of an empty house of Wabawgyi Village of Myebon Township at 11.30 pm on 12 May.

Villagers and village auxiliary fire brigade members collectively put down the fire and could control the situation at 1.30 am the next day. It completely died down at 5 am.

Similarly, a house caught fire a couple burnt down their cloths after a fight at 3 pm on 12 May Pyinphyumaw village, Kyaukpyu Township.
