Minister for the Office of the State Counsellor U Kyaw Tint Swe received
European Parliament delegation led by Chairman of the European Parliament’s
Subcommittee on Human Rights Mr. Pier Antonio Panzeri at the Ministry of the
Office of the State Counsellor yesterday at noon.
During the meeting, the two
sides discussed matters relating to Rakhine State including the repatriation of
displaced persons as well as cooperation between Myanmar and the European
Union.
Also
present at the meeting were Senior Officials from the Ministry of Foreign
Affairs, the Ministry of the Office of the State Counsellor, the Ministry of
Labour, Immigration and Population, and the Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief
and Resettlement.
