With the purpose of upgrading the tourism industry
and sharing facts concerned with the opportunities for investors in the tourist
trade, a Tourism and Investment Festival will be held in Kawthoung on 24 and 25
February.
A coordination meeting of the Tourism and Investment
Festival was held at the Bayinnaung Hall of the Kawthoung District General
Administration Department yesterday.
At the Festival, there will be booths representing:
the department of Directorate of the Hotels and Tourism, the regional Myanmar
Investment Commission (MIC), the Salon ethnic people’s traditional cultural
booth, Travel and Tourism companies from Thailand, local owners of hotels and
tourism agencies, Dawei and Myeik regional booth, a forest and pearl booth,
international standard regional resorts showroom, local businessmen’s booth, a
local products booth and local cultural displays. Classic and modern music
entertainment and Myanma traditional dances will be included.
