Tatmadaw
Commander-in-Chief Senior General Min Aung Hlaing left for Thailand by air on
the invitation of Chief of Defence Force of the Royal Thai Armed Forces Gen. Tarnchaiyan
Srisuwan to attend a ceremony to accept the award of the Knight Grand Cross
(First Class) of the Most Exalted Order of the White Elephant.
The Tatmadaw
Commander-in-Chief and his delegation were seen off by Deputy
Commander-in-Chief Vice Senior General Soe Win, Chief of General Staff (Army,
Navy and Air) General Mya Tun Oo, high ranking officers from the
commander-in-chief’s office, the Nay Pyi Taw Command commander, Deputy Chief of
Mission of the Royal Thai Embassy in Yangon Narong Boonsatheanwong, Royal Thai
Armed Forces military attaché (air) and officials at the Nay Pyi Taw airport.
Accompanying the
Tatmadaw Commander-in-Chief were his wife Daw Kyu Kyu Hla, high ranking
officers from the commander-in-chief’s (Army) office and the Yangon Command
commander. The Tatmadaw commander-in-chief will accept the Knight Grand Cross
(First Class) of the Most Exalted Order of the White Elephant presented by the
King of Thailand and will visit other well-known places in the country.

Commander-in-Chief, his wife and delegation arrived in Bangkok, Thailand, where
they were welcomed by Gen. Tarnchaiyan Srisuwan and his wife high ranking
officers from Royal Thai Armed Forces, Myanmar Ambassador to Thailand U Myo
Myint Than, Myanmar military attaché Brig-Gen Khin Zaw and officials at the Don
Muang airport (Wing-6).
