Appointment of UK Ambassador agreed

THE Government of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar has agreed to the proposed appointment of Mr. Daniel Patrick Brendon Chugg as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland to the Republic of the Union of Myanmar.

Mr. Daniel Patrick Brendon Chugg joined the Foreign and Commonwealth Office of the United Kingdom in 1998. From then until 2015, he served in various capacities at different departments of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office and at Her Britannic Majesty’s Embassies and Missions in India, China and Hong Kong. He is currently serving as Head of the Counter-Daesh Communications Department, Communication Directorate of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office. He is married and has two children.
