Union Minister for Information Dr.
Pe Myint yesterday inspected preparation work for the Children’s Literature
Festival in Myeik that will be held on 27 and 28 January.
The Union Minister arrived at Myeik
Basic Education High School No. 1, where the Children’s Literature Festival
will be held, and inspected the preparations for the opening ceremony, booths,
charity food and entertainment.
Earlier in the day, the Union
Minister handed over 50 Set Top Box television receivers donated by Myanmar
Radio and Television (MRTV) for the Taninthayi Region government, which were
accepted by Region Minister for Social Affairs and Development U Ho Pin and
Kayin Ethnic Affairs Minister U Saw Lu Kar.
In the afternoon, the Union
Minister and party visited the MRTV Retransmission Station in Dawei District,
Thayetchaung Township, Pedet Village, where fire breaks are urgently needed to
improve the fire safety of the Retransmission Station.
