Six kilos of marijuana seized in Maungtaw

Police discovered about 6.25 kilos of marijuana in a basket left by an unidentified person who fled the scene in Kan Bae Village in Maungtaw Township on Monday evening.

While conducting security measures on the evening of 25th December, police spotted the suspect on a farm in Kan Bae Village. The basket was left by the suspect, who ran away when the police tried to question him.

Police have opened a case at the Pyinphyu Police Station and are further investigating the matter.
