First Lady attends flower arrangement ceremony in Japan

First Lady Daw Su Su Lwin visited a temple and attended a flower arrangement ceremony yesterday during her trip to Tokyo.

Daw Su Su Lwin paid homage to the Sensoji temple in Asakusa, Tokyo, the city’s oldest Buddhist temple, yesterday morning.
The First Lady then visited Sogetsu Kaikan Flower Arrangement School, where she was welcomed by Executive Director Ms. Kiri Teshigahara, Ms. Suisen Takagi and Deputy Secretary Mr. Ryusuke Yoneda.
Daw Su Su Lwin attended a flower arrangement ceremony in the school and viewed the floral creations that were made for the ceremony.
The First Lady then participated in arrangement of the flowers in the ceremony.
After that, the first lady met with Mrs. Akie Abe, the wife of the Japanese Prime Minister, at the Prime Minister’s house. Mrs. Akie Abe, together with non-profit organisations (NPOs) that were conducting socio-development works in Myanmar, Supreme Advisor Dr. Hideo Yoshioka of Japan Heart, Terra People Association Chairman Mr. Hroyuki Ohno, Ms. Etsuko Tsunoazki of Seeds Asia and OISCA Chairman Ms. Etsuko Nakano. During the meeting, socio-development works on various sectors of Myanmar where NPOs are working were explained.
