The ceremony for
providing donation money for resettlement and development in Rakhine State was
held at the meeting hall of MMPO in Wingaba road in Yangon at 8 am of
yesterday. The Union Minister for Information attended the event and accepted
the donation money.
In the ceremony
Chairman of MMPO, U Zin Waing gave a welcoming speech and the patrons of MMPO,
chairman and members handed over the donation MMK 10 million to be used in
resettlement and development works in Rakhine to the Union Minister for
Information, Dr Pe Myint.
The Union
Minister Dr Pe Myint delivered an address in which he spoke that many thanks
are due to the MMPO as donation is made for the use in resettlement of Rakhine
State and he stated that Rakhine affairs are the affairs of the whole country
and the troubles encountered by Rakhine people are the troubles of all people.
He also mentioned his delight as the MMPO comes to the assistance every time
the country is in crisis. In those times it is always found the persons from
MMPO has taken part in activities willingly and actively. It is really an
encouragement for the local people as the MMPO helps in money and also show
their personal presence in the crisis area. The present aids of MMPO for
Rakhine resettlement and development project manifest the perpetuation of their
good tradition of assistance in social affairs.
Then, the patron
of MMPO, Sithu Bogale Tint Aung gave a speech of delight. The responsible
personnel from Ministry of Information, patrons of MMPO and MMPO members
attended the ceremony. The Union Minister, Dr Pe Myint accepted the donation
money as MMPO is a friendly organization of the MoI and the donation money will
be conveyed to Union Enterprise for Humanitarian Assistance, Resettlement and
Development for the use in the projects of UEHRD, it is learnt.
