Harvest of monsoon paddy model plot carried out in Thandwe, Rakhine

Harvest of Sin Thwe Latt paddy seed plantation grown on the field of 5 acres owned by U Win Maung, in Shauk Kon village, Kyeintali, Thandwe district, Rakhine State was launched on November 10 by the agricultural department.

In the harvest ceremony head of Thandwe district agricultural department, Daw Myint Myint Yi and personnel, Kyeintali township administrator, agriculture department office, IPRD officials and staff and farmers—20 took part in the harvesting.

U Aung Than, head of township agricultural department explained about the need of growing pedigree seeds and their benefits.

Paddy harvested yesterday yielded 97.90 baskets per acre, it was learnt.
