The
3rd Coordination meeting for Convening Youth Multi-Development Festival was
held at the meeting hall of the Ministry of Information in Nay Pyi Taw at 2 pm
yesterday.
Present
at the meeting were Union Ministers Dr Pe Myint, Dr Myo Thein Gyi, Dr Myint
Htwe and Dr Win Myat Aye, permanent secretary of the Ministry of Information
and departmental heads and responsible officials of the department of fine
arts, the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Culture.
At
the meeting, Union Ministers respectively discussed concerning the convention
of youth multi-development festival, including arrangement of literary, talks
and discussions, youths’ talk and extempore talks, arrangements of meeting with
outstanding youths, programmes for ex-university students/alumni to
participate, sports show rooms with extraordinary games included, exhibition on
science with the avant-garde of youths included, display of discussion on
English and Myanmar languages and related showrooms, description of the
festival as the Pre-Centenary Commemorative Ceremony which did coincide
unusually, showroom exhibiting preventive ways against contagious and
infectious diseases, showing effects which will result from regular physical
exercises, programme for making youths know federalism and set-up of federal
union, the State Counsellor’s address on requirement of inclusion of
traditional challenge in drawing up Action Plan, sector of media and Facebook
meant for traditional challenge, loss of youths’ lives due to Facebook Social
Media and requirement of inclusion “how to deal with and how to prevent” in
drawing action plan on youth policy.
Afterward,
the permanent secretary of the Ministry of Information and deputy
director-general of the department of fine arts, clarified concerning
preliminary selection of logo, motto and theme song of Youth Multi-Development
Festival, programmes to be held, showrooms and exhibitions during the festival,
formation of committees and sub-committees, and their performances.

was learnt to be held from December 1 to 3 in the Yangon University Campus.
During
the festival period, English language Proficiency Contest, Impromptu
Competition, Discussion on Youth, Traditional Sports Contest, Myanmar Martial
Arts, Sepak Takraw, Mass Walking, Sale of Traditional Foods, Sale of Arts and
crafts, computer and technology exhibition, showing national costumes,
showrooms of national ethnic people, program building by use of application,
rare books and book fair festivals will be included.
