President U Htin
Kyaw received Socialist Republic of Viet Nam Politburo member and Minister of
National Defence H.E. General Ngo Xuan Lich and party at diplomat hall in
Presidential Palace, Nay Pyi Taw, yesterday afternoon.
Matters relating
to increasing bilateral friendship, increasing cooperation between the two armed
forces, increasing all round bilateral cooperation, establishing friendly
relationship and investment in Myanmar were discussed in the meeting.
Present together
with the President at the meeting was Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services
Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, Union Minister for Defence Lt-Gen Sein Win,
Minister of State for Foreign Affairs U Kyaw Tin, Deputy Minister for the
President’s Office U Min Thu and officials while the guest Socialist Republic
of Viet Nam Politburo Committee member and Minister of National Defence and
party was accompanied by Viet Nam Ambassador to Myanmar H.E. Dr. Luan Thuy
Duong.
