Market, shops see normalcy in Maungtaw

Trading and normal living are coming back with crowded with people from both communities as peace and stability gradually regaining in Maungtaw region after the outbreak of the attacks by ARSA extremist terrorists occured on 25 August.


Shops, travelling and living are coming back to the normal situation in Shwezar village tract where Muslim people mostly stayed peacefully without involving in the attacks.

Other business as machinery shops and motorcycle workshops are now operating at the corner of Mahabandula road and clock tower road.

And, Maungtaw Four Miles market and Kanyintan market opened by selling and buying, and Muangtaw Myoma Market will open soon, it was learnt. According to the terrorist attacks, markets in Maungtaw closed, though prices of common products including food are boosting more than half. As market and shopping booths are reopening, thus the prices of goods are being stability.
