2nd Amyotha Hluttaw 6th regular session holds its 7th day meeting

At 7th day meeting of 2nd Amyotha Hluttaw 6th regular session held at 10 am yesterday in Nay Pyi Taw, U Kyaw Myo, Deputy Minister for Transport and Communications replied to the question raised by Dr Zaw Lin Htut of constituency 9, Mon State, “Myanma Post and Telecommunication Enterprise has no plan to provide monthly fees for hiring land for the construction of telephone tower pillars at the Gawt Taw Ya village, in Thaton township for the development of rural area as it was built with the permission of Mon State Government.

MPT enterprise is vigorously making efforts for the development of socio-economic lives of the people across the country, contributing K 603.5 million in FY 2015-2016, K 1229.61 million in FY 2016-2017 and K 212.9 million up to October in FY 2017-2018. Total contributions amounted to K 2046 million and it is targeted to donate 1.3 billion in total for the FY 2017-2018. MPT will occasionally continue to support for the projects of regional development.”
The Deputy Minister added concerning the question raised by U Kyint Khant Paung of constituency 6 of Chin State, “For aircrafts to safely land and take off, there is no enough run-way in Tiddim township in Chin State. And it is only 18 nautical miles from the presently-built Falam Airfield so there is no plan to build a new air field.”
Afterward, U Kyaw Lin, Deputy Minister for Construction and U Soe Thein, Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Myanmar replied to the question raised by U Tet Tun Aung of constituency 2 of Rakhine State as to whether there was a plan to upgrade Myint-Gar Phardu gravel road on Alei Phayongar island in Pauktaw township into concrete road, the question raised by U Tin Lin Htay of constituency 4, Mon State concerning gravel road in Chaungzon township in Mon State, the question raised by U Zaw Min of constituency 6 of Sagaing Region as to whether there was a plan to publicize total amount of internal monetary circulation flow (in Kyats) and total amount of foreign exchange in treasury owned by Myanmar government, likewise international governments. Following that U Ba Myo Thein of constituency 5 in Yangon Region put forward a motion to discuss land confiscation law (bill) 2017, and U Soe Win of constituency 12 of Rakhine State discussed it in support.
Then Mahn Win Khaing Than, Speaker of Amyotha Hluttaw took the approval of Hluttaw to discuss in the Hluttaw, announcing that Hluttaw decided to discuss and it was transferred to Drafting Committee.
