Stimulant
tablets were seized at 16-mile Kyauk Chaw inspection gate in Patheingyi
Township, Mandalay Region on Tuesday.
While local
police were conducting regular inspections at the 16-mile Kyauk Chaw inspection
gate, police stopped and inspected a vehicle and found 200 stimulant tablets
from a passenger Wai Lwin Oo, also known as Wai Gyi and 369 stimulant tablets
and a handset from Yan Naing Tun on board the vehicle.
Similarly, local
police also inspected vehicle and discovered 162 grams of heroin, 2,000 stimulant
tablets and a handset from a passenger Ma Nwe Nwe Soe yesterday.
On the same day,
Lashio Township police force searched a house owned by Ma Lu Hway Mann at
Mannar Tayoke village in Lashio and found 37.5 grams of heroin, 1,425 stimulant
tablets and Ks50,000.
Likewise, Muse
police force found a suspicious looking man named Wulaukta near Ward 4, Kaukkai
Township and found 52 grams of heroin and 1,000 stimulants tablets
on him. Hopan Township police force searched a house owned by Ma Shaukwah at
Mainpan Wa Ward, Hopan. The police discovered 1,312 stimulant tablets in the
house. Police have taken action against them under the Anti-narcotic Drugs and
Psychotropic Substances Law.
