According to the law, burnt lands become a government managed lands. The law that governs burnt law is national disaster management law. Although the name of the law is natural disaster management law, according to the definition in the law, disaster covers all (disasters) and therefore this law will be used. The area will be defined as a land facing disaster caused by terrorist act. Redevelopment works will be according to the enacted rules. If the redevelopment works were conducted as prescribed by the rule, it will be very effective.

That is why it will be implemented according to Natural Disaster Management Law and Natural Disaster Management Rule.”

The Natural Disaster Management Law was enacted in 2013 and Natural Disaster Management Rule was enacted in 2015. Based on Natural Disaster Management Law, National Natural Disaster Management Committee was formed with Vice President U Henry Van Thio as Committee Chairman, Union Minister for Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement Dr Win Myat Aye as Vice Chairman and union level ministers as committee members it is learnt.
