India donates medicine and medical equipments for Seasonal Influenza

Since seasonal influenza A(H1N1) pdm 09 virus infection has been occurring throughout the world including Myanmar in this year, Ministry of Health and Sports made a greatest effort in prevention and control activities for that infection. For supporting these activities, neighboring governments and organizations are donating many medicines and medical equipments.

As of 21st August 2017, the Government of India has donated (8,800) doses for Influenza vaccine, (10,000) Influenza test kits, (50,000) Tamiflu capsules, (1,000) Tamiflu powder bottles, N95 masks of 192,000 in quantityfor Seasonal Influenza A(H1N1) pdm 09in prevention and control.
The donated medicines and medical equipment will be used effectively in prevention, investigation and treatment of Seasonal Influenza A(H1N1)pdm 09 cases.
The Government of India will continuously support necessary medicines and medical equipments through Embassy of India in Myanmar collaboration with Ministry of Health and Sports.
