Myanmar loses, but win audience’s heart

Myanmar could play at their best form in Myanmar-Australia encounter in the 2018 Asia U-23 Qualifier Group F, 2nd match though they were defeated 3-0 by Australia. Myanmar’s lack of precision of goal scoring was to blame for the loss of the match and could not snatch a point from the draw of the match.


Myanmar played at their utmost effort with a strong hope of gaining a qualifying chance. Myanmar can win the qualifier if they can get a point from the draw of the match. Australia with knowledge that they can win the qualifier even at the draw of the match played keeping the ball in possession and attacked the Myanmar ‘s side whenever there was opportunity.

Myanmar was succumbed to give a goal at 5 minutes from the start. Kamau fired home from close range. Myanmar though being scored, never spare the effort and Aung Thu hit home but the ball just found the Australia Goal keeper.

At 30 minutes corner kick was given to Australia after Myanmar goal keeper made a blunder. Phone Thitsar Min slapped out the header of an Australian forward, but it hit the Australian right in front of the goal and it went past Myanmar goal keeper.

The third goal came in 50 minute through the header of Australian striker, Sotiriyo. Myanmar got the scoring chances but squandered the chances to lose 0-3 to Australia.
