Union Minister
for Information Dr Pe Myint received Ambassador of Norway to Myanmar Mrs Tone
Tinnes at his office in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday.
During the
meeting, the Union Minister discussed matters related to the Oslo Forum which
he attended recently and current situation in the media sector in Myanmar.
Dr Pe Myint also
briefed on reforms of the Ministry of Information and prospects for amending
the Section 66-D and preparations for holding Transition Forum in August. The
two sides also exchanged views on cooperation of Norway in the Information and
Communication Technology-ICT of the Ministry of Information and efforts for
opening small cultural museums housing traditional utensils of the ethnic
minorities at libraries.
