A delegation led
by Speaker of the Amyotha Hluttaw, Mahn Win Khaing Than left by air
yesterday for Viet Nam to promote friendly relations between the two countries
and to attend the Asia- Pacific Regional Conference concerning
sustainable development under the title “Responding to Climate Change- Action
of Legislators to achieve the SDGS” in Ho Chi Minh, Viet Nam at the invitation
of the Chairperson of the National Assembly of the Socialist Republic of Viet
Nam Madam Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan, from 10 to 16 May 2017.
The delegation was seen off at the Yangon International Airport by U Tin Maung Htun, Chairman of Yangon Region Parliament, Mrs. Luan Thuy Guong, the Vietnamese Ambassador to Myanmar and officials. Representatives of the Amyotha Hluttaw U Kyaw Thaung, U Khin Myo Win, U Myint Than Tun and officials from the Amyotha Hluttaw accompanied Speaker Mahn Win Khaing Than.
