Acrylic works of artist Kyaw Thu Win to be exhibited

ARTIST Kyaw Thu Win, a young artist from Mandalay, will showcase his selected works through a solo exhibition this month in Yangon, according to an event organiser.


The exhibition, titled “The White Moments”, will be from 6 May through 8 May at Cloud 31st Art Gallery on 31st Street in downtown Yangon and features 25 acrylic handiworks for sale.

Subject matter may include landscapes and historic structures in both Mandalay and Yangon cities.

The 29-year-old artist, who studied his craft at the State School of Fine Arts in Mandalay, has become known for his trademark drawing and painting style.  Since his entering the art scene, Kyaw Thu Win has had several art exhibitions.
His works can mostly be found through collective art exhibition. His first solo show was held at Thiri Gallery in Mandalay in 2014, with plans to stage his artworks at a 3rd solo show next year.
