Commander-in-Chief of
the Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing left Nay Pyi Taw
International Airport for Vietnam at the invitation of the Defence Minister of
the Socialist Republic of Vietnam Mr.Ngo Xuan Lichat at 1pm yesterday.
The delegation led by
the Senior General was seen off at the airport by Deputy Commander-in-Chief of
the Defence Services Vice Senior General Soe Win and wife, the Senior Military
officers from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief, the Commander of Nay Pyi
Taw Command, the Vietnamese Ambassador to Myanmar Mrs. Luan Thuy Duong, the
Cambodian Ambassador to Myanmar Mr.Sok Chea and officials.
The Senior General was
welcomed at the Noi Bai international airport in Hanoi by the Director of the
Foreign Relations Department of Vietnam Defence Services Lt. General Vu Chien
Thang and officers, Myanmar Military Attaché U Kyaw Soe Win, and officials.
The Senior General and
party arrived at the Embassy of Myanmar in Hanoi at 7pm yesterday and met with
family members of the embassy and military attaché’s office and invited Myanmar
citizens living in Vietnam.
The Senior General and
wife gave gifts from the Tadmadaw Textile and Clothing Factory to staff of the
embassy and military attaché’s office.
After that the staff
families of the embassy hosted a dinner for the Senior General and party.
