Two fires
destroyed a house and a monastery in Pharwutchaung village in Maungtaw on
Monday.
According to the
investigation, a fire broke out in a house owned by Anta Husaung and spread to
a neighbouring house and a shop at about 3pm at Pharwutchaung in Maungtaw.
Another fire
broke out a Hteetayar monastery near the six-mile inspection gate at 5pm the
same day.
The fire started
from a candle on the shelf of a Buddha image and destroyed a zincroofed
building.
