Family
members of people missing from the village of Sinthaypyin (East) and
Ywetnyotaung village in Maungtaw township filed separate cases concerning the
disappearances at the local police station.
Shawfi
Yarmauk, 25, of Ywetnyotaung village did not return home from a trip into the
village on the morning of 27 January, prompting his wife to file a case at the
Ngakhura police station on 29 January.
Similarly,
the wife of Ibyaheib, 55, from Sinthaypyin (East) filed a case at the Ngakhura
police station on January 29 when her husband did not come back home after
leaving the village to drive buffalo back from pastureland into the village, it
is learnt.
