Nearly 100,000 people visited the Children’s
Literature Festival in Mandalay yesterday, the final day of the festival.
"It is the most crowded day of the festival and
we felt it is worth organising the event," said U Maung Pe, Director
General of the Information and Public Relations Department.
Book stalls sold books worth K24 million on the
first day, Ks47 million on the second day and Ks40 million on the last day, when
they had already sold out of almost all their books.
